This Dapple Heirloom Rocking Horse is so lifelike you will want to reach out and touch him to see if he's real. Unbelievable craftsmanship and talent come together to make these heirloom rocking horses available. Each horse undergoes months of carving, sanding and painting- all by the hands of a single artist. The process begins by hand-carving the body of the horse from top quality Linden (basswood) wood. The careful carving process is followed by hours of sanding to create the perfect surface for the exquisite painting and finishing that follows soon after. Extraordinary lifelike features include lifelike glass eyes, authentic horse hair for the mane and tail, leather saddle, bridle, straps and saddlecloth; and adjustable child size metal stirrups. The saddle and bridle are made from leather with decorative brass dome heads. Their rockers are crafted from Ash in the traditional "boat" shape for ultimate stability, then stained and finished. Saddlecloth is available in choice of either red or green with gold trim. Unique, extraordinary and unlike anything you've ever laid eyes on. This rocking horse is a true heirloom to be enjoyed by generations, future and present. Recommended for ages 3-5 yrs.
