The Colgate Eco-Visco Classica is from the Colgate Cradletyme Naturals collection of eco-friendlier crib mattresses, pads, and accessories. The Colgate Eco-Visco Classica is a high quality, lightweight - 10 lb 8 oz, orthopedic style dual firmness Infant / Toddler foam crib mattress with viscoelastic memory foam. The firmer supportive infant side consists of a solid five inch block of the very popular and highly rated extra firm Colgate Classica I foam. The less firm, more comfortable toddler side has a one inch thick layer of high quality, non-allergenic viscoelastic memory foam. Memory foam, invented by NASA for space shuttle seats and astronauts helmets, reduces pressure points so there is less tossing and turning and toddler gets a more restful sleep. Square corners ensure a snug, safe fit in all standard American cribs and toddler beds. An overall 6" mattress thickness means tight fitting sheets. Cloth closest to baby - an extra soft rayon cloth cover made with natural bamboo fibers that has a waterproof backing that lets nothing into the mattress. Cloth binding provides strong seams. All foam in this mattress is CertiPUR-US certified to be safe, high quality foam. All foams are also eco-friendlier because they are made with plant oils replacing petroleum based oils. The Colgate Eco-Visco Classica mattress passes all federal and state requirements for flammability and chemical composition and has been GREENGUARD certified to have no harmful air emissions.
