Started in 2007, J. Austin Ryan was created by artist and illustrator Marnie Vollenhals. Coming from a family of artists, which goes back generations from Italy, she was surrounded by visual arts ever since she was a little girl. Growing up in Southern California, which has its own art culture in itself, Marnie developed a unique talent that enables her to create different media’s of art. For the nine years she worked as an Art Director for a high end furniture company. It was at this point in her life where she expanded her art ability and got to experience what it was like to run a business. From attending trade shows, designing furniture, to training artists to paint in production, her skills have grown. Marnie also designed a line of kid’s art that is still being sold across the U.S. today. Now, with her husband David, and his job relocating them to Texas, she started creating works of art in her spare time. Donating to local charities and organizations nationwide, she started to notice a following. So with the support of her husband and family, Marnie decided to jump into the industry again. But this time it was completely her own. With that said, this great line of artwork was created. Marnie creates her designs in her home studio which still allows her to join in as all time quarterback for a neighborly football game, be followed around by her two little dogs, and still be able to meet deadlines! She creates her images with total satisfaction. Her new line of art is fresh and new. With its clean lines and bright colors, this line delivers a unique style of its own. All designs are hand-painted and done in small batches. Nothing is sent out unless it is perfect. She donates at least two pieces of art a month to local and worldwide charities for children.
