This artist’s unique style and original images challenge the terms “childish” vs. “child-intended” as inspiration for decorating. She began her formal art training at a young age, ultimately receiving her fine arts degree at Texas Tech University. She began her professional artistic career as a fine arts instructor for children in public schools and private art studios. It was through her experience of teaching and observing what she terms “the creative genius of children and their unapologetic artistic boldness” that her popular style fully developed. This unique collection was created as a means to cater artistically to children's complex imaginations and growing curiosities. As a mother of two, she subscribes to the notion that parents want to create a nurturing, creative and inspiring environment for their children. Her work builds on the notion that visually inspiring surroundings are an integral part of a child's creative development.
