Interestingly, this artisan received a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering. It was his love of wood and carving that later led him to study woodworking and sculpture at the University of New Hampshire. Twelve years ago, with the adoption of daughter Nicole, he became inspired to create “art furniture” for children. His uniquely carved wood sculpture introduces the gentle, calming effect of nature and whimsy into children’s interior environments and teaches children to appreciate both art and animals. His animal chairs have a special warmth and charm, which encourage children (and even adults) to pet and name them. He enjoys working with parents and designers to create just the right furniture for children’s bedrooms and playrooms.
